We know you’re going to love this gorgeous, truly laid back summer wedding at Lila’s Wood with the most stunning images from Jason Mark Harris

After a few email exchanges between the UK and New Zealand, Polly booked us based on a few of our previous weddings at Lila’s Wood, one in particular was also captured by Jason Mark Harris. I met Polly’s lovely mum but didn’t meet Polly until the morning of their wedding, my nerves were on high alert but I needn’t have worried as she was an absolute joy and thankfully was thrilled with her bouquet!

The entrance to the clearing in this perfect patch of woodland is a gorgeous old wooden gate opening out to reveal a hidden gem, where the dappled light creates such a magical place.

A beautiful, wooden ceremony structure and rows of wooden benches, over which an old RAF parachute is stretched (for a little weather protection) created an informal & relaxed setting for Polly & Stevie’s guests to admire them as they said their vows.

The florals in the stretch tent were equally relaxed with a collection of glass bottles in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes dotted down the centre of the trestle tables. We filled them with lots of seasonal blooms, foliage and seed heads and scattered some loose foliage to create a very, simple but beautiful display.

There are so many wonderful touches at Lila’s Wood and Faye & Sam have thought of absolutely every last, little detail to make it a very unique wedding venue. I think our favourites are the gin bar in an old caravan and the main bar, made from old wooden doors.

I had full permission to go a little wild for Polly’s bouquet. I absolutely loved it as it brimmed with antique garden roses, eustoma, amaranthus, ammi majus, a variety of seed heads/grasses and chocolate cosmos, helichrysum, & “Cafe Au Last” dahlias from our cutting patch - yummy!

Huge congratulations to Polly & Stevie, we wish you a joyful life together and would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for picking us to flower your wedding day.

Much love, Joules & the girls xxx
