It really was a joy working with Nicola & Dan on their beautiful spring wedding; our first of the 2017 season and what a way to kick of a busy year of weddings. Nicola had already bought her bridesmaids' dresses when she and her lovely mum came for a consultation so this became the inspiration for a soft, pastel palette of bush pink and pale blue. We kept everything as seasonal as possible and enjoyed the beauty of the wide selection of spring flowers available.

Nicola and Dan chose the Great Barn at Aynho as their wedding venue; we had worked there before so knew it was simply stunning and we couldn't wait to be back there. The super talented Haley Pettit Photography most definitely completed the "dream team", I had been an admirer of her work for some time and was thrilled to have the opportunity of meeting her in person and working with her, (she was as lovely as I had hoped). The Barn is beautifully light and the warm, the honey coloured stone walls bring an extra warmth, it really is a beautiful setting for a wedding. The courtyard garden is pretty special too, I never did get to hear if the wisteria was in bloom??

So... here's a few images of the flowers looking all pretty and spring like. Dan made and painted the wooden box for the ceremony & top table, there's a story to be told there!

The chairs for the ceremony had jars of spring flowers tied at the end of each of each alternate row, simply beautiful, no need for anything more, they just perfectly complimented the feel of the day .....

The barn is perfect for both elegant and rustic style floral arrangements; Nicola & Dan were keen to keep everything very relaxed and informal which worked so beautifully. The gorgeous naked cake by Cakes by Kit was stunning.

I was thrilled with how Nicola's bouquet looked, I was aiming for soft, romantic and spring like. Hopefully this is what I managed to capture.
