Alex & Gavin chosen a beautiful stone barn for their Autumn wedding, perfect and cosy for an intimate celebration with family and close friends. We all felt that relaxed, rustic florals would work perfectly in the barn and the lush, textured foliage arch in ceremony barn set the tone beautifully. Thanks to Ania Ames for sharing her fabulous work, all images her images are stunning as you will see.

The trestle tables were arranged in 2 long runs and were decorated simply with loosely scattered foliage, mini wood slices and candles. Behind the top top table at the far end a vintage ladder was hung, which we decorated with trailing foliage and flowers.

Keeping the flowers seasonal was really important to us; working with Alex’s preferred palette of plum and pale pink, we used lots of roses, scabious, astilbe, amaranthus, waxflower, berries and yes…… chrysanthemums - a first for us but I couldn’t resist those gorgeous big blooms in the richest of autumnal colours! The cake was sumptuously decorated with figs and blackberries by Alex’s dad, a true autumnal feast for the eyes.

Alex’s bouquet was a little on the wild side but we (and she) loved it, we hoped it captured the very essence of the season, full of autumnal charm. The milk churns were bountiful and well, if you’re ready to embrace the season, there’s nothing like having an umbrella at the ready!

Huge congratulations to you both, it was a pleasure to have known you and played a part in your special day. It was a delight from to start to finish and we wish you both a life packed full of happy days and adventures.
